Corporate Insolvency – What the Advisor Needs to Know in 2023

Insolvent Liquidations are up 53% in the first six months of 2023 over the same period in 2022. This upward trend is expected to increase as pressures from inflation and the impacts of warehousing continue to impact the SME sector.

More and more practicing accountants will be called upon to advise their clients on their obligations when a company is in financial difficulty and the options available to them.

This course will explain in detail the liquidation process from start to finish including positive implications of a timely liquidation.

It will enable practicing accountants to speak to clients with comfort on all aspects of the process.

• Implications for Directors
• The process for organising a meeting
• The role of the liquidator including reporting requirements

During this session David Hegarty will talk about the role of the CEA, provide an overall picture of enforcement options and tools available to the CEA. I will also talk about developments in Insolvency and CSRD from the enforcement perspective.
