Sinead Gortland

Sinead joined the Corporate Consultants formations team in OmniPro in 2016 and built up her experience and knowledge before moving into the Company Secretarial team and is the current Head of OmniPro Company Secretarial.

As a key member of CPD Stores speaker team Sinead’s focus is Beneficial Ownership, Annual Compliance and Corporate Governance. Sinead is passionate about making company secretarial and company law accessible and approachable to agents and accountants.

As a member of the Corporate Consultants team Sinead is also responsible for carrying out; Section 343 applications, High Court Company Restorations, Annual Compliance, Company Law Compliance and AML. As well as this Sinead delivers bespoke training in the areas of corporate governance and compliance.

In her previous roles Sinead spent time in education and ESG and has a MSc from Maynooth.

Yvonne Clarke

Yvonne is MCIPD Accredited, with an MSc in HRM Leadership and she is also a Certified Workplace Mediator (The Mediators' Institute of Ireland). Yvonne has a personal and practical approach and is experienced in working collaboratively with clients managing multiple, disparate activities, projects and transformation programmes ensuring people strategies are aligned with Business Strategic direction and Business Needs.

With over 22 years’ experience in all areas of Human Resource Management, she has worked in business areas such as Logistics, Manufacturing / Recycling, Not-For-Profit/Charity, Health and Social Care, Education and Corporate Functions such as Finance, IT, Quality & Corporate Governance and Strategic Planning & Development.

Oliver O’Connor is a partner in Grant Thornton and leads their Financial Advice service offering. Grant Thornton provide pension and investment advice to individuals and corporates in conjunction with the related tax advice.

Martin is Financial Lines Manager at Arachas. He is an Associate of the Insurance Institute of Ireland and Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Risk Managers

Martin has over 40 years insurance experience working in the London Insurance Market, the Middle East and 30 years’ experience in the Irish Insurance sector. Professional Indemnity, Management Liability, Cyber Risk and professional Risk Management is one of Martin’s specialisms.

Robert Kirk

Robert qualified in first place in 1975 as an Irish Chartered Accountant after graduating in Economics from Queens University. He trained in practice with Price Waterhouse and later worked in industry with a subsidiary of Shell (UK). His teaching career started with Business and Accounting Training (now Griffith College) in Dublin where he taught mainly on the professional examination courses for ICAI, CPA, CIMA and ACCA in Belfast and Dublin.

Robert specialises in the teaching of and research into the development of accounting standards in the United Kingdom. He has published 18 books and numerous articles in both academic and professional journals. His latest publication (co authored with Stephen McNamee) is the second edition of ‘A practical guide to UK and Irish Gaap’ (May 2020) (552pp) published by Chartered Accountants Ireland.

Having spent the 6 years prior to joining OmniPro as a quality reviewer with Chartered Accountants Ireland Colm has a unique insight into how firms operate, the challenges facing firms and how firms are responding to current issues facing them and the profession.
