The Corporate Enforcement Authority is Ireland’s company law enforcement agency. Its mission is to promote and serve the public interest by ensuring high levels of compliance with company law through effective advocacy and proportionate, robust, and dissuasive enforcement.

This course will promote knowledge of high levels of compliance with Companies Act 2014, Independence and accountability, Interaction with other Regulatory Agencies, principal sources of case work for the CEA Enforcement, principles Investigative tools (civil and criminal), potential civil and criminal outcomes.

 

Sam Deasy will cover the following topics during this webinar:

• the work of the CEA, structure, and function

• sources of work

• evidence gathering tools and outcomes,

• complaints and protected disclosures process

• case studies

Sam Deasy

Sam is a Senior Legal Adviser working in the Legal Directorate of the Corporate Enforcement Authority. The Legal Directorate provides legal advice and litigation support across the CEA. Sam previously practised as a barrister, working in a wide variety of areas of litigation in both civil and criminal law.
