Familiarity with the Revenue Code of Practice for Compliance Interventions is essential for any accountant or tax advisor particularly in light of the risk involved for both themselves and their clients. The level of preparation required has increased in light of the wide range data and audit techniques now available to Revenue auditors.

Jim Kelly

Jim joined Grant Thornton in 2003. He has over 25 years’ experience in all areas of Irish taxation having spent 10 years with the Revenue Commissioners and subsequently working as a director of taxation with PKF Dublin which merged with Grant Thornton in 2003.

Jim is an experienced professional having dealt with all aspects of Irish taxation including personal taxation, corporate taxation, Relevant Contracts Tax, retirement and estate planning, group reorganisations, international tax issues, intellectual property structuring and preparing for and negotiating Revenue audits. He has extensive experience in advising international and domestic organisations involved in manufacturing, construction and retail.
