Join this webinar with Brendan Casey, who will explore the following areas:

  • The common misconception among many accountants that Proprietary Directors are automatically liable to pay PRSI at the Class S rate.

  • In some cases, directors with minority — or even no — shareholdings are being returned under Class A when they may in fact be liable for the lower Class S rate of PRSI.

  • Accountants may be able to secure a refund of up to 10% of earnings for the previous four years where clients have been paying PRSI at Class A, if they can successfully demonstrate to the Department of Social Protection that their clients are Executive Directors employed under a “Contract for Services” with the company.
