The EU Commission has proposed and implemented a number of changes to the CSRD since its Omnibus Proposal was issued in February 2025. This includes changes to the Delegated Act and reporting standards and requirements. This session will provide participants with an overview of key changes and what to expect when the updated ESRS standards are issued later in 2025.

Orla Carolan

Orla Carolan – Head of Consulting Orla joined Future Planet in May 2024 as Head of Consulting. Prior to this Orla was an Advisory Director in Grant Thornton Ireland. From 2019 Orla was Head of Finance Advisory leading out on advisory projects with large banking, insurance and asset management clients in financial reporting, risk and regulatory related projects. More recently Orla initiated and led out on a newly established CSRD service offering within the sustainability advisory practice. As part of this role Orla worked with large clients across multiple sectors (financial services, retail, technology) on CSRD scoping, training, double materiality assessments, gap analysis and implementation planning. Previous to joining Grant Thornton Orla gained 15+ years’ experience in financial services and held a senior management position with JPMorgan Bank Ireland as Head of Financial Reporting for its hedge fund administration business in Ireland. Orla holds a B.A. in Business and Economics (TCD), is a Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and is also a Certified Investment Fund Director (CIFD). Orla is also a qualified Executive Coach & Trainer (QQI Accredited).
