Covid has presented different threats to clients than those threats from previous recessions. Combined with the impact of Brexit the Advisor needs to be in a position to provide pragmatic advice to clients who are facing insolvency.
Advisors need to be familiar with the new legislation, the Small Company Administrative Rescue Process (“SCARP”), which will revolutionise corporate recovery choices in Ireland. It is hoped that by the date of the course the content will be updated with the Regulations and Court Rules governing the new legislation, and also updated with any published Revenue guidance.
In addition to providing a comprehensive update on SCARP, the course addresses the following:
• How to advise clients facing insolvency. The pitfalls to be avoided.
• Pre-Packs: How to advise your client to “buy back” a business from a liquidator.
• Overview of Turnaround strategies that do not involve formal insolvency.
• How to advise Tenants and Landlords on the topical issue of rent arrears.
