Course Details

Words, when used in casual conversation, can hide the odd transgression. However, the written word is a permanent record and therefore must be more carefully crafted.

Anyone who writes a letter, email, or report for you is effectively the face of your company or department. How you are seen by others is dependent on the format and words used in your correspondence no matter how unimportant it may seem at the time.

If you have to write a report, commentary or study in the course of your work then our Business Writing Skills programme will be of great benefit to you. It covers the basic principles of reports, letters, emails and presentations and how to improve your technique.

This course will show you how to:

  • Make your reports precise and simple
  • Write letters and emails that can be easily read by others
  • Structure information logically
  • Use words carefully not profusely
  • Use clear, understandable language
  • Avoid the most common mistakes
  • Edit and proof-read documents
  • Use a clear and professional layout
  • Write impressive business documents
