Morna is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Consultant, working as an Assistant Lecturer in Taxation with TUS formerly Limerick Institute of Technology. Morna is owner of a boutique tax advisor firm Brass Tax Consultancy which is based in the Mid-West. Morna is Vice-Chair of the Mid-West Chartered Accountants Society.

Morna has over a decade of experience in the Finance sector, having started her career in practice, she has worked for a number of high-profile companies across the public and private sector. Morna is technical editor for a series of tax publications and enjoys advising on tax education.

Brendan Casey has been practising as a lecturer and a PRSI Consultant since retiring from the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection over 10 years ago.

Brendan advises on PRSI liability issues and is an expert on all of Welfare’s contributory benefit and pension schemes.

John Lovell

John has over 30 years’ experience as a capital allowances specialist. John trained with the accounting firm Arthur Andersen and helped found the capital allowances team. At the time, Andersen’s were the first accounting firm to set up a capital allowances specialist team and employ chartered surveyors and train them in taxation. John later formed Lovell Consulting, which for the last 21 years specialises in capital allowances. John qualified as a chartered quantity surveyor with McBains. John qualified as a member of the Association of Tax Technicians. John was educated at Reading University where he gained a First-Class honours degree in Quantity Surveying. He gained a scholarship to Oxford University Green Templeton College and attained a Master of Philosophy degree in Management Studies. John is a Chartered Surveyor.

A Partner in Azets Ireland’s tax department, Kate is a tax professional with extensive experience working with private clients, domestic and international companies, and regulated investment funds. Kate provides tax planning for high-net-worth individuals and privately owned companies; including tax structuring for acquisitions, disposals, reorganisations and Management Buy Outs (MBOs) transactions. Having been involved in a wide range of large corporate transactions and with a legal background, Kate is uniquely positioned to provide tax advice to vendors or purchasers in relation to the key documents linked to share or asset acquisitions or disposals, including: • Business transfer agreements; • Share purchase agreements; • Tax warranties and indemnities; and • Tax deeds. Kate has Big 4 experience in the areas of establishing regulated investment vehicles, cross border structured finance transactions, securitisation (including aviation) structures, tax planning around the impact of OCED, EU and other international developments.

Lisa Cosgrave

Lisa is a key member of our tax technical support team, providing advice on all tax heads in response to queries submitted. In addition, she provides support within the tax department on company/business valuations, tax planning, restructuring and exit planning solutions for a range of clients, liquidations, and company secretarial issues. She also has experience in financial reporting and audit.

A Chartered Certified Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor, Lisa trained and worked in practice for six years prior to joining OmniPro, where she gained experience in financial reporting, tax compliance across all tax heads and audit. She has experience with a range of small and medium sized businesses assisting them with their financial reporting obligations and tax compliance across all areas.
