Ian Barrett
Ian is a Managing Director in KPMG’s Turnaround & Restructuring practice (1 of the largest in Ireland), has over 18 years experience of providing turnaround and restructuring advice, managing large scale insolvencies / formal appointments, and undertaking business reviews of underperforming businesses on behalf of key stakeholders.
He acts as a formal appointment taker and managed some of the largest Creditors Voluntary Liquidations, Members Voluntary Liquidations, Court Liquidations, Examinerships and Receiverships across a wide range of industries with particular focus on construction, property, healthcare, retail, motor industry, technology and the hospitality sectors.
Recently Ian has also acted as Process Advisor of 2 Irish businesses which successfully exited the Small Companies’ Administrative Rescue Process (“SCARP”).
Ian regularly contributes to various business publications and presents to various representative groups / bodies on important restructuring topics.

Sinead Gortland
Sinead joined the Corporate Consultants formations team in OmniPro in 2016 and built up her experience and knowledge before moving into the Company Secretarial team and is the current Head of OmniPro Company Secretarial.
As a key member of CPD Stores speaker team Sinead’s focus is Beneficial Ownership, Annual Compliance and Corporate Governance. Sinead is passionate about making company secretarial and company law accessible and approachable to agents and accountants.
As a member of the Corporate Consultants team Sinead is also responsible for carrying out; Section 343 applications, High Court Company Restorations, Annual Compliance, Company Law Compliance and AML. As well as this Sinead delivers bespoke training in the areas of corporate governance and compliance.
In her previous roles Sinead spent time in education and ESG and has a MSc from Maynooth.

Today we are joined by Elaine Jackson, Director of Audit and Compliance at Michael Power
Accountants, specialising in Audit, Debt Review/Restructuring and Compliance. Michael Power
Accountants provide Audit, Accountancy, Tax and Financial Advisory Services to businesses across
Munster, operating from our offices in Tipperary Town and Clonmel.
Many of you will already know Elaine. Elaine has previously worked with OmniPro as Head of the
Accountants Resource Centre and was also a member of OmniPro’s Practice Support team

Lindsay Webber
As a head of Strategic Solutions at OmniPro, Lindsay’s focus is on helping practices achieve on-going best practice compliance, providing in-house training and technical assistance in audit and financial reporting.
Lindsay is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and Chartered Accountants Ireland. She trained with KPMG in Johannesburg and specialised in external audit of financial services companies. She then spent six years lecturing audit and financial reporting to under-grad and post-grad students at Rhodes University in South Africa before moving to Ireland and returning to practice in a small, and then a medium sized firm where she was an audit manager. She is passionate about combining her academic and practice backgrounds to provide technical information in a useful and practical way.
Outside of her accounting qualifications Lindsay holds a PGDiploma in Higher Education from Rhodes University, an MBA from Trinity College Dublin and a Diploma in Forensic Accounting from Chartered Accountants Ireland.
